(WDNG) – An Anniston man has been charged with murder after another man was found stabbed to death outside of a sports bar last month. Anniston police Capt. Allen George on Monday said 57-year-old Anthony Tyrone Jackson has been accused of murder in connection with the death of Ronald Young.
Young was found stabbed to death outside the 50 Cent Sports Bar in the 3100 block of West 12th Street in the early morning hours of Jan. 24, according to a Monday statement. George said investigators gathered physical evidence and conducted interviews that led to a warrant.
Jackson was in the Calhoun County Jail on a first-degree hindering prosecution charge when he was served with the Murder Warrant on Jan. 30. Jackson was listed as an inmate at the Calhoun County Jail on Tuesday. Police say bond on the murder charge has been set at $300,000. A preliminary court hearing for the murder charge has been set for Feb. 19.
